Timesifter

This is a peculiar artifact that truly shines in the Huge Leaders format.

It would be difficult to build a deck that consistently gains extra turns with this artifact. Since most Huge Readers decks include lands, there will inevitably be times when the timing doesn’t work out well, even if you include a generous number of high-mana-cost cards in the deck. So why add it to the Colossal list? We identified a problem: if this artifact isn’t removed, the outcome of the game will ultimately hinge too heavily on the amount of mana at the top of the library, which strays far from the gaming experience we aim for in Power Level: Friendly.

On the other hand, this is not an issue at all in Power Level: Colossal. Although the text mentions an extra turn, the mechanics are fundamentally different, and since we anticipate that situations where players lose simply because they cannot destroy this card are unlikely to occur, we’ll limit its inclusion to the Colossal List.

Time Stretch

This is one of the few extra turn cards permitted in Huge Leaders.

Compared to previous versions of Huge Leaders, there are more cheat into play cards in the current meta. Since this card remains in the graveyard after being cast—allowing it to be retrieved or reused with cards like Scholar of the Lost Trove or Impulsivity — we determined that this is unacceptable at the Power Level: Friendly tier.

This has not caused significant issues in the Power Level: Colossal tier. Therefore, rather than banning it, we will simply add it to the Colossal list.

Cards Being Monitored

Regarding World War Hulk, the committee was unable to reach a final decision on the evaluation of this card at this time.

We’ve already identified some problematic combinations with certain commanders. Raph & Mikey, Troublemakers and Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant are prime examples. That said, those are the only ones. Of course, there are other cards that offer synergy, but compared to those, they aren’t generally considered a threat. Therefore, we’ve decided to extend the evaluation period for this card to determine whether it’s acceptable for the Power Level: Friendly format.

We also intend to keep a close eye on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes—which is, so to speak, similar to Last March of The Ents—as well as Prismari, the Inspiration and several additional combat cards.
